I have had a buzzing in my glove box for awhile now. And have been researching it on these forums and others trying to figure it out. I've gone from blend door to blower and now I think I've determined that the issue is with the air flow direction control servo. I can adjust the temp of the ac no problem, although I feel like it doesn't blow as cool any more but that could just be in my head. When I start my 4Runner the buzzing start for about 30 seconds or so and will go away which seems to be the case with any problems with any servos connected to the A/C, than when I try to change the direction to defrost or to the foot wells the buzzing starts and I don't feel any air coming out from the desired area, just the front vents. After more research I found a self diagnose tool for the 4Runner A/C and when I performed the test it flashed error code 33 and 43 which both involve the air flow directional servo.
Now that I think I've got the problem pin pointed my question is what is my next step? I obviously would like to get this fixed, is this something that can just be taken out and cleaned? Maybe some small repair work? Or just replace it?
I know there have been several A/C buzzing threads and I have looked through just about ever one I could find but they all seemed to deal with the temp not the direction.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Any pic or videos they would be helpful I can take and post as well.
Also I don't think it matters but i have a 06 sport model so not duel zone
