2006 Navigation...

Well, again I am going to try something new... So I may need some help from other members. I just purchased a 2006 4Runner Limited and since I am in Canada, I dont have the option for NAV, so I found one on EBAY, and gonna try this upgrade.... So if you already have a NAV in your 06, I may need some pictures...

I figured first I wanted to update the steering wheel controls so Bluetooth will work

84244-35030-B0, if the right side.. with the voice nav button and bluetooth controls. $110.42

84204-58010 is the ribbon cable for the steering wheel control from left side to right. $38.55

86730-3502 is the microphone assembly (I havent gotten it yet, trying to figure out where it goes, I think by the lights in the centre) $193.58

46191-48020 is the video terminal for RSE, which has the aux input for the centre console. $150.55

Anything else anyone could think of so far? I looked at the Nav Diagrams and looks like I will have to run 2 wires from the front to the back amplifier to make the voice navigation work....

Where's the microphone located?

front center in the sunglass holder. there are two (maybe three, have to check ) wires coming out and going above the headliner. I'm pretty sure the gps antenna is integrated into the mirror mount as well. I'd have to take pics thru the windshield to show you, but that won't work with a flash, unfortunately.

Are 06 Runners with Nav so rare that noone has seen them yet? not complaining.... love to send pics of the car... just asking.

Thanks.. I also just found a 2006 Sienna RSE system for $500.00.. So I should be ready for the tear down of my 06 4runner and put the new navigation in it..

I got the audio/video jack, microphone, and steering wheel switch from the dealer today, and the harness for the RSE should be in for Friday.

Ill let you guys know how it goes, if anyone cares.

I added the prices to the part number post.. I know its expensive, but what the hell!

I ended up grabing the Reverse wire (red/yellow stripe) from behind the cluster.
