2006 rear window won't roll up/down.

at night, the light is lit, and can be operated by key from the outside.

any suggestions ?

Im thinking it can be a loose plug somewhere... but being a 2006 ?? ? ? ?

Warranty bro! Take it back to Toyota. It's a new truck and it isn't your problem for three years or 36,000 miles.

I have noticed that on my 06, when the A/C condenser kicks in the truck lunges. It's going in and any other problems I have for the next three years aren't my problem.

If it's working with the key then can you clarify how it is not working (dash switches or key fob switch?)
Is your driver's door window lock switch working? Cycle it from lock to unlock then try the window again.
Or cycle it completely down and up again with the key to "relearn/reset" the auto feature (it's a long shot because I know you need to do this with the windows after disconnecting the battery.)

Check the power window lock button on the driver's door. If it's pressed in, the buttons for all windows other than the driver's window are disabled - including the rear window button on the dash. However, in this state the rear window still works with the remote or the key.

You will find that with brand new belts and pulleys that do not allow any slippage, and a compressor that is full of referigerant will cause your engine to surge and jump.

It is not like the old worn out car you used to drive.

What's child lock? Isn't child lock not being able to open the rear doors from the inside?

child lock button, located on the upper right otu of all the window switches.

^ there's a safety lock for windows and child lock for doors.


child lock and safety look are the same thing and can be used for anything that prevents a child from opening it.
