2007 Alarm Help

Hey yall, I'm at my wits end with my alarm/ignition deactivation system and have no idea how to fix it.

I have a 07 Sport. Never had any issues in the 6 years I've owned it but now I can't get the alarm system under control. I have the little red light to the left of the driver under the dash. Right now it is flashing fast. In order to crank it, I have to put the key in, let the alarm go off, then push the button on the back to allow me to crank it. I have searched everywhere and cannot find a way to reset this thing back to normal. Of course it's the weekend and toyota is closed. Can anyone offer me some advice/help??

Is your alarm factory or aftermarket? The reason I ask is that I don't have the indicator light you're referring to.

I'm honestly not sure. In the center of the dash I will randomly see the car key alarm icon pop up (but not currently), but there is also a small black device near the hood latch (driver's left knee). It has a red light on front and a spring button on the back. I hope that helps maybe??

Easier yet, does your key fob say "Toyota" on it or have the Toyota emblem?

It's factory, but the way you describe it there seems to be some extra equipment related to it, at least extra equipment that I don't have on my 07. I'm at a loss now.

I believe it has an alarm and a separate ignition deactivation device of some sort.

In the past, when I locked or unlocked I would get the horn beep along with a quieter beep from the alarm itself which makes me think there's 2 things going on with it. Just trying to get as much info out here as possible in case anyone else has ideas. Once again, thanks to all who have any input.

It's a oem add on security. If you drop the dash you will see a t harness going to the ignition switch
