On the wifes 2008 4Runner she has been getting the ABS?VSC/TRAC lights all flashing, normally just after pressing the brake pedal but at least within the first few minutes of driving. So, I finally got a Techstream cable/software and hooked it up, thinking all I would need to do is a ZPC. I did take pics of the codes that displayed before I cleared everything out and did the ZPC. Here are the codes:
C1223 - ABS Control System Malfunction
C1249 - Open Circuit in Stop Light Switch Circuit
U0073 - Control Module Communication Buss OFF
U0123 - Lost Communication with Yaw Rate Sensor Module
U0124 - Lost Communication with Lateral Acceleration Sensor Module
U0126 - Lost Communication with Steering Angle Sensor Module
From the little bit of research that I did, I believe all of this may lie within replacing the Stop Light Switch Circuit, which I think is towards the top of the brake pedal.
Does this sound right? Anything else I might want to check that might be a simple loose wire somewhere/something not plugged in?
Any help is appreciated.
