2008 V8 Limited VSC Blinking, Traction Control On, ABS On

I have scoured these forums looking at the posts regarding this but none of them seem to be the same as what I am experiencing.

The other day when leaving work My VSC light is blinking, Traction Control(car with skidmarks) was on solid, and my ABS was on Solid. My check engine light is NOT on. I shut down the truck, restarted it and they were still on. So I did my 30 mile commute home.

I remembered the gas cap could cause some of this so I filled up the truck and made sure the area around the cap was clean and cap was tight. Drove home from the gas station with the lights on.

Went to dinner that night and the lights were off. I thought it was fixed.

Wife drove truck to work yesterday lights were on as above. She drove the truck home and lights were off.

Drove my 30 mile commute today and the lights came on again shortly after I left.

Again this is the lighting: My VSC light is blinking, Traction Control(car with skidmarks) was on solid, and my ABS was on Solid. My check engine light is NOT on.

From what I read it could be zero point cal, gas cap, brake booster, wheel speed sensor and more. However all of the stuff I read, nothing is exactly what I am seeing. Tonight I was going to disconnect the battery but first go to Autozone to see what codes they can pull.

Any other thoughts on the exact lighting I am getting?

Oh and the ABS, Traction Control, etc. is NOT functional. I tested it on the ice and snow this morning.

This may sound awkward, but had it been raining/snowing for a long period of time? Is your windshield original or replaced?

I had the same problem on my wife's Sequoia. It took a lot of research but I finally put two and two together when someone suggested I look at my windshield and see if has ever been replaced (bought it used) and sure enough it had.

What happens is that they don't completely seal the windshield during replacement and water drips onto a connection in the wiring harness behind the dash causing the problem. Mine even caused my DRL's to turn on in the middle of the night and drain the battery. I had to pull the relay so I could start it the next day.

It may be a longshot, but sounds like the same issue I had.

The only thing I had done within the last couple of weeks was a new battery, gas, and a car wash. The new battery has been in for about 2 or 3 weeks. The car wash was 2 days before this happened. Snow and Rain was not anything extended but it had gotten pretty cold.

Mine would always start to act up a couple of days after the rain. Did you purchase new? do you know if your windshield has been replaced?

Used but I have owned it for over 3 years. I am 99.9% sure the windshield is new. I know the windscreen is OEM also.

So would it go away when it dried out?

Yes, It will go away once dry, at least mine did. Look on the lower driver side of your windshield, if it says "Toyota" it's original. If not, it's been replaced.

Well the windshield is original.

Lights were not on for my 30 minute commute home.

Went to autozone to get the codes read. 2 codes came up both related to ABS. I lost the codes but the first one was for a fault in the ABS. The second one pointed to a stop/brake switch assembly.

Autozone, Advance, and Oriley didn't have one in stock and they all needed 5 days to get it, cost was just over $30. So I went to the dealership, they wanted $35 and I will have it on sat. Part number 84340-69075

Funny thing is not one of those lights came on when I was running to those places.

Had the same issue, new gas cap, disconnect / reconnect battery, no more lights
