200k Time for a Few things

My Fan Bearing took a Dump. Fan Started to Wobble and Make Noise. In less than 24 hours The Pulley Seized and Snapped My Serpentine Belt. Buddy is a Yota Tech and helped me cause I was Stranded. That is Getting Fixed. Just got my T-Belt Water Pump Kit delivered for 2nd Change. New JBA UCA’s Are getting ordered as Stock UCA Bushings Are Shot. He also said my LCA Bushings Are Shot as Well. So new LCA’s are a Must as Well. Brake Job is also a Must. Can’t Complain about 200k miles with original Components. Especially in the Phoenix Az Heat.

Are you telling me you went 200k miles on the original pads and rotors? Whoever drive that thing much have been the most conservative driver ever.

I have a hair over 200k and my suspension components seemed pretty good, still on stock upper and lower control arms. I did refresh the springs and shocks as well... 6112 Front and 5100/OME rear.

If you are in the mood for maintenance, I would flush / replace all fluids too.

Coolant (done with water pump)
ATF
DOT 3
Front / Rear / TC Oil
Power Steering
Top off that washer fluid while ur at it too

Congrats on 200k... mine is in surprisingly good condition for the age and milage.

No Brakes are Not Original. Power Steering was done Not To long ago along with all Diff Fluids. Want to Do Tranny Flush as Well Soon Too. Replaced Coolant a Few Months ago when I replaced my Radiator.

All Done with Phase 1

New Fan Bracket. T-Belt and Water Pump. Serpentine Belt and Upper and Lower Radiator Hoses. Phase 2 is UCA’s (JBA) and LCA’s. Bump Front Billies to 2.5 and Some New Wheelers T-12 1 1/2” or Icon 2” Springs. Not sure which to Get yet. Phase 3 when that is Done is New Tires.

Runs so Much Quieter. Very Happy its Done. Ordering UCA’s (JBA) this Week Also Not Messing with LCA’s Pressing in Bushings and replacing Ball Joints with Moog. Going with Stock OEM LCA’a so I get New Bushings and Ball Joints. Only Doing this Once with Quality OEM Parts. :bounce:

Phase 2. Ordered JBA High Caster STD UCA’s. On the way. New Brakes front and Rear. New OEM LCA’s. Doing Front end all at once. Bumpin Billies to 2.5 and trying to decide between 1 1/2” Wheelers or 2” Icon Rear springs to go with rear 5100’s.

I'm there with you AZ, in the 200K club. I'm fighting with a slowly failing A/C compressor, which is rattling, due to a supposedly bad A/C amplifier and the compressor never turning off. Pretty sure the compressor has drag on it, bc if I put my foot in it, I get a faint whiff of burnt rubber when I get out the truck. I'm sure more high mileage gremlins will rear their head this summer, but I hope they don't.
