My 2 cents say the one with half the miles for $2K extra... Both are an excellent color combination though :) :banana: of course if you are going to put a lot of miles on the vehicle yourself, that may not matter much and you may want to save the 2K for some mods.

Might sound off-topic, but why to pay $35K for a used vehicle? Get yourself a brand new SR5+leather+all the warranty on a new vehicle and b happy!

I didn't really like the entune set up, and I wanted the full time four wheel drive, also the 15 speaker JBL sound system.
Besides a loaded SR5 was like $40K out the door
 
The difference in price between a new T4R and a used 5th gen T4R is minimal. I'd rather buy brand new for a few thousand dollars more. That's less than $50 more on your monthly payment.

All good points, I still prefer the LE over the SR5.

Ok, I've got your point.

First what you should do, take both 4Runners for a test drive and check interior/exterior during a daylight.
Stock tires @ 34K miles should be pretty bad, not sure how long they are going to last. Again, go ahead and measure remaining depth using your favorite gauge (3 measurements per tire x 4 tires). Check for uneven wear.

If condition of 2 vehicles is the same and acceptable for you, check if they are Toyota certified or not. If they are and you are going to buy an extended warranty, mileage really doesn't matter.

List of items to check and different considerations may go on and go on.
My main point is, you need to test drive used vehicles.

So true, why spend 35k for a used veh, I just bought my 2012 sr5 BP 4x4 with navi, 3rd roll seat for 37.6K out the door, it even come with new car smell, which you can get from a used car :)

This is what I found out. The fact that my dealer was offering a Lifetime Powertrain Warranty pushed me over the edge to buy new. I plan to drive it for atleast 200k miles.
 
My 2011 LE with nav and 15 speaker JBL was around $39.6k w/o state tax and destination. If there are still 2011's around, then you could check that out as well. Don't assume a new LE will be THAT much more expensive. If you're looking as far as Alabama, then I'm sure there are 2011 LE's in Black to be found out there.

If anything, i would do what Dizzy said.

You also get a few perks with buying it new, for the minimal difference.

1. 2 years maintenance free.
2. You don't have to smog your car for 5 years, rather than 3 more years.
3. New tires.
4. Free XM for a year.

If you find a 2011, you could be much better off. For a 2012 though, I can see your point. The difference could be 4 to 5K, which is quite a bit if you are trying to squeeze in a car payment.

Yeah, I like the Entune Nav quite a bit. I figured that I could put in a very nice speaker system with that $1200.

The stock speakers are not great. I swapped the dash speakers (3.5" Kappas) and it sounds much better.

The "Apps" are probably mostly a gimmick, as I don't see myself using them (other than Pandora).

I do stream music from my Iphone using bluetooth quite a bit.

I haven't tested the actual Nav system yet, so I can't tell you how accurate it will be.
 
Still all good points and I appreciate them all, I've test drove the SR5 and the LE and find (to me) the LE to be a bit more refined for me and for what I will do with it, mainly taking the dogs out and to go shooting.
I could not find the sliding rear cargo floor on any SR5's mind you I didn't do too much searching yet as I am at work.
The tires are a good point, especially out here in Vegas where they dry rot before they wear out.
The warranty is not really an issue as most of the vehicles I am lookng at are still within their 3 year manufactures warranty, and I can still buy one to extend the original one at a later date.
I prefer the instruments in the LE over the SR5 and as mentioned the 15 speaker system.
I did find one in San Jose CA that I haggled for $35,000 +tax with 15,000 miles on but the sales manager would not hold the vehicle even with a deposit???WTF!!

Looks like a clean car, has aftermarket tires and it's been lifted, I have a question to you Toyota Gurus out there.

It's a LE without the Navigation, however the salesman says it has the 15 speaker stereo and the bluetooth. I was under the impression that in order to have the 15 speaker and the bluetooth you had to choose the navigation option? Is that correct? Does anyone else see anything on this vehicle that I should be aware or?

The 10'-11' Limited came standard with JBL 15 speaker/bluetooth/XM radio without Nav., that's what I have in mine. I've had a Toyota nav. before and didn't like it.

Yeah I have Nuvi that I prefer, my wifes Lexus is similar to the Toyota Nav only it has voice activation.
So if the 10' -11's come standard with Blue tooth how do you hook it up. is there a button or something? ON the nav you just click the phone icon?
