2010 SR5 OEM Radio

I don't know if this has been covered before but I have a 2010 SR5 with the OEM radio & wanted to know if anyone knows how to keep this display lit while the engine is running with radio off? It only displays 4RUNNER upon start up then goes away after like 2-3 seconds.

Maybe if your 4runner wasn't up side down? :rofl:


Okay more seriously, have you tried the dimmer control for the dash lights? IDK if that will work, just a guess, but I know if you crank it all the way up, stuff comes on.

I have nav in mine, so there is a brightness control right for the touch screen in the radio settings.

Haha yea idk why the pic turned upside down lol... you must have a trail edition if your dash lights knob can be locked in the brightest mode by turning it all the way up until it clicks cause mines don't but that knob also doesn't control that 4RUNNER that lits up on my display... I've tried it. I think it might be some kinda electronic programming to allow that 4RUNNER to display during the duration of the engine running with the radio off.
