So much for keeping pricing in check.
But the article posted by a toyota rep recently stated prices would stay the same. Those prices mentioned are only estimated.

the best part about this design is that it doesnt make the 06+ 4th gen look dated at all. In fact, the 4th gen looks "newer" to someone who is unaware.

the luxury-oriented Limited, which adds 20-inch wheels, leather, and a full-time 4WD system with a three-mode center console-mounted switch
A new design ALWAYS makes the prior design look dated, even if the new design is retro styling.
The Mustang guys tried to say the same thing you're saying when the '05 Mustang came out with it's retro styling. By the time the '05 Mustangs started to be seen on the streets, the '04 styling looked dated and old. The same thing will happen to the 4th gen once the 5th gen is on the streets. It's hard to swallow, but us 4th gen owners now have the old model, like it or not. I'm not going to try and fool myself into thinking the 4th gen doesn't look dated....
Party mode button? I'm sold!!!!
Where are the 4WD controls?
Like the FJ, the 4wd controls are on the overhead console, above the review mirror.
IMHO, I believe there may be enough of a difference (at least in print/picture) that the 4th will retain a contemporary style. The only risk I see to the 4th looking dated and old is if someone chose not to maitain the finish of the vehicle. Keep those 4ths shiny people!!!
As a side note, I am liking these articles referencing the desire for the V8. Me likey.
Any word on the location of the "Party Mode" button? It will be an epic fail if it isn't bright red and pushable with the lip of a beer bottle.
