Painted fenders on a TE seems like a design update fail...
Like someone else mentioned, black plastic fenders save from many noticeable scratches.
Not to mention the front and rear bumpers.
Now the TE looks just like the limited or SR5. Just uglier with that fish mouth...

I have an '04 with a similar silver trim piece in the middle and painted fenders. I have no issues with it getting damaged over the years, and mine does get used off road.

The unpainted trim was one of the things I didn't like about the '10 through '13 trail. It looks great at first, but it ages horribly. Take a look at a '03 with the unpainted fenders and bumpers, and you'll see all sorts of wonderful extrusion marks on the faded light gray plastic. Unless they are using some sort of different plastic now, I'd rather have painted bumpers and fenders.

have to agree. now its a toss up between the silver or red now. i gave up on the nautical blue. too dark for me.

have to remember, don't piss off your dealers. 51% + of people once they see a new model year on the website/etc, they wont have anything to do with last year model.

the 13's had its 15 mins of fame so to speak, people will move on and forget about the old dog.

Based on the pics I've seen, the '14 models have a great looking interior. The new gauges and center console IMO are great improvements. Exterior wise it's subjective. I would prefer an LE for the few added conveniences but am totally sticker shocked in buying a new 4runner in the mid to high $40K. Fully loaded LE out the door is pushing $50K. Around my area you see all sorts of cars/trunks well in the $50K+ range but '10+ 4Runners are as rare as exotics. With the new '14s coming out, maybe a use '10-'12 will become more affordable once people start turning in their leases.

i need the memory seats as me and the spouse have way different seating positions and once i find my sweet spot, takes forever to find it again after she gets in and adjusts the seat.

I like you need the memory seats as my wife and I trade cars so much and I HATE it when I spend the first 30 mins of my drive after the wife has tool the car to find the "Sweet Spot" again, also I live in Las Vegas and I love my wife's ventilated seats in her Lexus and I think in a $40K+ car it should come with them, as for everything else mmmmergh!!! I like the new instrument color and the brown leather get's me drooling but that's about it.

if it wasnt for being 550 miles away from the nearest lexus dealer, i would have picked up a 2013 GS 350 awd loaded instead of a 4runner. but doing warranty work that far away is too much of a hassle.

the 4runner was my 2nd choice if the lexus deal fell thru. having heated/vent seats (preferred cooled) was a requirement since i was spoiled by my legacy having heated seats. vented was just a bonus requirement.

Saw two more 2014 LEs (black and mag gray) at a local dealer while picking up parts this afternoon. Tail lights look good along with the new rims on the mag gray.

New thread and all of my pics. 2014 4runner, limited, magnetic grey. Added the running board shots. I didn't get automatic boards as I figured it would be one less thing that could break.

why is it that the first LE posted in this thread is the only LE I have seen with this style of running boards. all the one's I have seen have black end caps and non angled.
