Coming from a 4th gen owner, not really sure why they ditched the projectors and led tails on the current 5th gen. That was one of the selling points of the vehicle for me. Glad to see them bringing them back.

I'm actually glad they ditched the LED tails. Ever try driving through a snow storm with LED lights?
unless they are giving them away I will keep my paid of 5th GEN!
I stopped being cool and trying to keep up! Turning 40 next year so I have had enough coolness for one lifetime lolYou have to keep buying/upgrading with the changes if you want to be cool and keep up. :embarassed:
Curious on this one, I assumed LED tailights would be more visable in all situations as the light output is higher?
Not when they don't generate enough heat to keep the snow off of the tail light lens.
The same is true of LED stoplights. They gather snow in the winter because they don't generate enough heat to melt the snow.
- a paraphrase of one of my all-time favorite troll posts here. Since the lack of LED tail lights was raised as a cause for said failure, along with a lack of a V8.So it's officially true that the 5.5/6th gen is a failure?
Coming soon, the hybrid version!
Well, I for one think it's very nice. Not that I like the look better, but all of the 'waaaaaaaah!' from the 5th gen intro can go away. Projectors, LED's, you got it, Toyota listened, for better or for worse.
Trolling:
I can hear it now:

Yep!!
...Overall, I can't really say how I feel about the changes yet without some full body shots, but I already foresee an aftermarket front bumper nightmare for the fabricator...look at those angles and mini "vent" thing directly under the headlight...
This is my nightmare!!!!
We will be on the look out for a 2014 in the neighborhood. We'll certainly need to get our hands on one to see what needs to be done on our end.
Any volunteers will be compensated......just throwing it out there:yo:
Did you take this photo?
I drive thru this intersection about once a week! (Corner of Holmgren Way and Armed Forces Dr. near Lambeau Field)
