2014 Grey sr5 with tan cloth, does it exist?

I'm in the market for a 5th gen sr5 and interested in a grey sr5 with tan cloth interior. Feedback I got from a dealership was this color combo doesn't exist (even though it's shows as an option on toyotas website). Can anyone confirm if this is accurate? (I.e. Does anyone own or has anyone come across this color combo on a 2014 sr5?)

It didn't exist for 10-13 and probably doesn't for 14 either. The website is probably incorrect in being able to select it. The colors you can get tan interior on are black, red, blue, and white. Mag grey is the only color you can't get a tan interior in.

I have seen one mag grey 2014 SR5 premium with the sand beige leather using Google images on a dealers lot. So yes they exist. Rare but exist, I had to a double take on the photo at first.

Awesome. Thanks for the info, sounds like sightings are rare, most doubt it's existence, and there is a very low chance you'll see one if you went out to search for it (I.e. It's the Loch Ness monster of the 4runners) :thumb:

This is the same combo I wanted when I went shopping. Most dealerships said it didn't exist and it wasn't possible to order. My local dealership decided to try and custom order one for me I. The Mag Grey/Sand Beige SR5 combo and after several weeks the order was accepted by Toyota.

Should be delivered mid next month.

If it's the combo you want (like it was for me), it is possible to get.

Magnetic Gray and Silver are only available with the Black/Graphite interior.....no option or chance of getting the beige with those two colors.

So if its not possible. Then how is this possible? More than likely it is possible, it just depends the region your in and the willingness of a dealer to actually help you.

They exist. I think mag grey and sand beige would be sharp together. I wish I had the link to the photo from my search.

It took 2 weeks of back and forth between the dealer the district manager and the order receiving department in Japan to make it happen.

The dealer submitted the order for Mag Grey with Beige. Nav was defaulted on the order. Since i didn't want any extras, the dealer ate the cost. After 10 days the order was processed by corporate and accepted.

I called 10 dealers and they all told me the same thing: I can't be ordered. No one would even try to order it. Sad that they didn't even try but there is always a dealer that will try.

I'll definitely post up pics when it comes in.

Given you've been very helpful so far, I'll squeeze you for one more datapoint.
Did the dealer play the "given its so rare/tough to find, you'll have to pay MSRP for it" card?

A second dealer used that line on me, essentially saying if I want them to work on getting it (either through special order or searches), I need to be willing to pay MSRP.

Did they use that as a lever to press you on price? (I know all dealers are different, but just want to get a sense of what you may have experienced as part of your transaction)

They didn't try to charge me more because I went to the "table" knowing what it was worth to me. The price for exterior/interior colors was errelivant. The price should be for the options and the price for a mag grey/beige is the same price as a mag grey/grey interior. Ended up getting it for $32800 + tax including nav and all season floor mats. Gave me what I wanted on my trade to boot. Very happy.

It shouldn't matter if they have to order it. In all actuality it's easier for them because they get to order a vehicle that's already sold.

Go give them hell!

Thanks again for the insight and help. I'll definitely go back now with a little more confidence. I'm in no rush at all to buy so I have that on my side. I agree with your logic regarding ordering a sold vehicle, made no sense to me either other than it being just another sleazy negotiation tactic...
