Is there any way to bypass Nav Safety feature of not allowing you to enter in an address unless stopped? This is the only thing that I cant stand about this truck.

This looks completely different than on the 2014's. Are you saying that it is the same process? If so, how do you know?

Yes, same process. I had a buyer who successfully installed specifically on a 2014 4Runner and numerous installs on 2010-2013 4Runners.

Okay. Does he have 2014 Model pictures of the install?

Pic of what specifically, the one wire you need to tap into on the back of the factory nav unit? I include a customized wiring diagram with each module purchased that is specific to the vehicle it is being installed in showing both the VSS wire color and its location in the factory connector. I include a pic of the connector so you can identify it too.

Are there any members on here with 2014s that currently have it installed?

I would like to point out that your position will be a bit more inaccurate when you enable this bypass because of how the system is set-up.

Different location?

This may sound crazy, but I had the same issue until I drove out of state. Could there be some sort of GPS-activated restriction on that feature (I'm in Florida)? I wrote Toyota about it, because my wife is usually the one who enters the addresses into the nab, and of course - she can't do it when we're on the move. On a recent drive up to South Carolina, I found that both the phone and Nav features were unlocked while I was on the road…until I got back to Florida

Anyone else experience this?

bump.
anyone?

I really want this crap off..

Have you performed the test on the site?

"Press the DEST button while driving over 10 mph and notice how various features such as Destination Address, POI Name, POI Category, Memory, etc are dimmed and blocked from usage at this time. Then taper your speed down until you are below 5mph. You will notice that those features will now light up and become "unlocked" when traveling below this speed. Our Nav Override module will unlock these features via a switch while traveling at any speed and keep them unlocked for any length of time you desire."

If your Nav unlocks while moving at under 5mph, the override will work for you.
