I think the premium package is the same on both. I have the TE premium with softex and I'm a fan. Comfortable, easy to clean. I have heard some complaints about softex....none from me so far

Nope, SofTex on the SR5 Premium.
I think the seats are the same as far as contour between the SR5 & TE Premiums, but the colors are different. The TE Premium has all black SofTex with red stitching, SR5 Premium has two tone SofTex seats without contrast stitching (either black with grey inserts of beige with lighter beige inserts).
I've got a black SR5 Premium with the sand beige SofTex, and I think the interior is great. Looks much nicer than cloth and is easier to maintain (and should last longer) than leather.
Thanks for correcting. I was going off my experience with pre-2014 which was apparently a false start. What about the LE?

I'm pretty sure the LE has real leather, either black, sand beige, or redwood. Don't think they do the two-tone thing or contrast stitching. I'm not totally sure, though, I didn't test drive any. Just going off of what I remember from the brochure.

Correct, it's real leather in LE vs. Softex in both SR5 and TE. Two-tone is in the softex and SR5/TE only as you state. (The wifey was actually a bit unpleasantly surprised by the two-tone whereas I think it makes it sportier than a typical luxury car interior.) I'm very happy with the material overall so far in the first month.
That's one way to spin it. Personally I opted for the premium pkg on the trail I ordered to replace our 97 T4R wanting seat warmers. My hope is that this new synthetic material will have better longevity than the leather I see deteriorating in so many vehicles after several years. After all, some of us do keep our vehicles for quite some time when they prove to be a quality product worthy of space in our garage. Fwiw, the cloth in our 97 shows little to no wear after all these years and 124k miles. I have high hopes for the softex!
I got my first taste of the Soft-Tex seats in the Prius I used to have. I found them comfortable and they held up well so I have no problem with them in my new Trail Premium.
As far as leather, I found the seats in my 06' 4Runner of better quality than those I had in my 2011 Limited.

I stopped by to look at this sof-tex. Wow! We have come full circle. Remember when Toyota had vinyl seats? They are back! I am amazed that people are suckered in with them. Of course they clean up easy because they are plastic. To make things worse they charge extra for them. I am amazed that people are being suckered in. I love how they say things like "50% lighter than leather". Really? When did leather because heavy? Also I like the 'eco friendly' message. Eco friendly plastic? Now I have heard everything.
I wish there was some way of swapping them out with the regular SR5 fabric. I would pay extra for cloth. I remember years ago when cloth seats were an upgrade from vinyl.
