Hello everyone. I am new to 4Runners and I am about to purchase my first 4Runner. I have my selection narrowed down to two vehicles. The price, mileage, and color are all similar. One is a 2014 SR5 premium and the other is a 2012 Limited. Any advice one which one to pick. I know I can't go wrong with either one just thought I would ask if there are any certain details or features that would help sway my decision? Thank you for all the input. Best regards,
Tyler

Hey there, I'll let the 5th gen owners chime in on details, but the biggest thing is visual to me. Can you live with the 2014's front bumper? Some people hate it, some love it.. I love it.

SR5 Premium sounds like it will have a lot of the same features as the 2012 model... you might need to just get both list of options and cross out the similar ones and see what is left on each one.

Does the 2014 have the following? (this is what i read the 2012 Limited has)
Limited features dual-zone automatic climate control, Display Audio with Navigation and Entune, leather-trimmed and heated front seats, pushbutton starting...

Also, do both of them have 3rd row seats? I believe the SR5 Premium has 3rd row seats but not positive.

Thank you for the reply. I'll be making a decision tomorrow. Any and all feedback is welcome. I personally like both body styles. The 2014 front head looks good in my opinion. I am not sure what all the features the 2014 sr5 premium has compared to the limited. I do know it has leather, heated seats, sun roof, navigation. Does any one know the difference in performance, suspension, etc. not just cosmetic differences?

LE is full-time 4WD. Pretty idiot proof and you don't have to mess with the knob selector unless you go off-road that requires you to go in 4Lo. Your wife/gf won't have any troubles snowy city roads as it will always be in 4WD. You get the comfort creature options in the LE but the Premium pretty much has the same features except for the soft-tex seats and no keyless entry.

I like the SR5 because the approach/departure angles are way better than the LE due all that low hanging body trim. I don't need 4WD at all times because 90% of my driving is in the city and when the conditions call for any 4WD usage it's as simple and turning my selector knob. Plus, there are more aesthetic mod options out there for the SR5/Trail models than for the LE.

IMO, the front end of the 2014+models make the 2010-2013 rigs look very outdated. I picked up my SR5P at the end of 2014 for a great price. Only other model I would choose over it would be the Trail Premium.

Just off the top of my head, my SR5P has the following:

Soft-tex seats
Navi+Entune
Side mirror signals
Heated seats
Sunroof
Auto-dimming mirror(not sure if base SR5/Trail has this)
