2014 T4R! What do you think?

Bringing back the manual 4WD shifter? That didn't last long! (personally don't mind the 4WD "knob" in my '13 SR5). Like the new dash gauge IMO.
The red stitching detail on the leather is pretty cool - wonder if it is color matched to every paint color - or if the stitching is red for all of them? (would be silly, but whatev).
I wonder if it has improved seats with more support for us taller/bigger guys? The seat pics do appear to have wider sides - not sure if they support/cradle you (me) any better. And if it does have "better" seats, if they would bolt in to a '13 SR5 (probably so). Rear seats now have adjustable headrests (I remove mine anyways

I'm sure the body tweaks will grow on me. Definitely more aggressive.

I like it! Although I think it is funny how the dash guage picture already shows the tpms sensor going off just like my 4th gen! Nothing has changed there. I'm thinking the new runner will look really good with a bit of lift and some bigger tires and better looking wheels.

I like all 4runners, I like the front end of this one most because it appears the Toyota design engineers have finally got the message!.... To make it a blank slate for us to customize! I mean come on, look at that gapping rectangular lower grill looking to be filled with a winch and LED light bars. Are you kidding me?! I'm ecstatic and may just find a way to trade up and in my 2007 limited with 67000 miles. Anyone interested?... haha.

Like just about anything, I can get used to it. It's good to see some of the things that were decontented in the 5th gen are slowly being added back (projector lights, LEDs in tail, window antenna). Gee, maybe Toyota is actually listening. But it still misses things I use everyday in my 4th gen like the grab handle on the driver's A pillar, the feature where the entire sun visor slides from fore to aft when positioned over the side window, and the secondary sun visor when using the primary along the side, as examples. So I voted to keep my 4th gen for now.

I got rid of my 5th Gen TE one year ago this month. I have spent the couple of nights looking for a replacement. I want(ed) another TE. I have considered FJ and even the Lexus GX to have a Prado inspired build. Little did I know the 5th gen had been redesigned.
I am really digging the wide mouth front end. Good for intercooler incase a SC ever becomes a reality.
If I still had my 2010 TE I am sure I would be hating on this one saying I like simple and clean(which I do) but I see myself putting off my purchase for another year and picking one of these up....

It looks like the 2013 T4R, a highlander and a UFO had a threesome
I was excited when the 4th gen 4Runner came out, until I drove one and couldn't live with the lack of headroom. Having to drive with a "gangster lean" wasn't something I was interested in doing.
I was again excited when the 5th gen came out, but when I drove all three models (SR5, Trail Edition, Limited) I was disappointed in some of the cheap interior and exterior materials. Although the headroom was improved over the 4th gen.
It appears that the interior materials have been slightly improved on the '14, and the front end looks less cheap to me. So I think it's an improvement over the '10-'13.
The lack of a V8, and/or manual trans, means that I'll probably just continue to hang on to my current '97 V6, 4x4, 5-speed, E-locker, Leather, Mooonroof equipped 4Runner with 118k on the odo, which I bought new. Considering that I only drive it maybe 2k miles a year as it is at this point, I would have to be really interested in the updated '14 4Runner, to buy one.
