2014 USB Limited To 498 Songs?!?!

Hey guys,

Tried to put a USB drive with around 1200 songs into the 4Runner and only 498 will load.

They are all in the same folder (root directory)...

Would breaking them up into different folders help?

i.e. On the GT500 I can just dump them all into the root directory and it works.

Sorry my wife has the car at the ranch right now, so I can't try it :/

You might try putting the music in a folder called "MUSIC" (in all caps) and see if it will do more.

I've got >8000 songs on my iPod, which I plug into the USB port on my '14 TEP.

Yup bugs the crap out of that all my different genre's are mixed together.

I had them seperated to hiphop and ol'skool

Yes, no more than 255 per folder, no more than 9999 per usb stick.

Put them in separate folders named anything you want and then it will read them all.

Made 5 folders and now showing 1098 songs

So i have approx 15k songs on a flash drive however it will only recognize the first 9999, does anyone know a work around for this so i don't have to lose 1/3 of my music collection?

I just synced my I-pod with Bluetooth and have no problems.
