2015 AT Tires. AT3 vs ST Maxx vs ?

Forgive me for being that guy and posting a "which tire" thread. I've been using BFG AT KOs for the past decade and I'm not familiar with the current market leaders for AT tires.

I know lots of people are using the AT3's these days. Many reviews rave about this tire.

Is anyone running the ST Maxx on a V8 4Runner? Is the power loss noticeable? I am replacing 265/70/17 BFG ATKOs, which are a pretty heavy tire to start with.

What are the other popular AT tires on the market today?

My 4Runner has become reserved for mostly bad weather service, so rain and snow performance are key. I also don't want to have to worry about offroad performance when I go hunting or to the beach.

Stock xreas suspension on a 2004 Limited.

I wavered back and forth between the AT3 and ST Maxx for a long time before finally going with the AT3 in LT-C rating, 265/70/17. I wanted to be sure I was getting something that would be sure footed in the snow, and the reviews of the Maxx were somewhat mixed in that regard. The AT3s have indeed been fantastic so far, great on the pavement, excellent in light to deep snow and heavy rain, and no chunking after a few rocky off-road trips. Very pleased with their performance.

No problems with the AT3s in snow. Granted, it's not a proper snow tire, but they're more than good enough for Minnesota winters (and far superior to the OEMs).

My vote is for the ST Maxx. Great tire for a great price.

I really like the ST Maxx tire, looks great & pretty good reviews. Gonna get it or the KO2 or the Terra Grappler G2.

For Coopers, it goes AT3 to ATP to ST Max, the ATP is a good aggressive all terrain for people who dont want a mild tire like the AT3 but not super mud terrain aggressive like the ST Max. Check them out, I love my Discoverer ATPs
