2015 Entune w/o JBL wiring diagram?

I have done quite a bit of searching on T4R and Google for wiring diagrams and I see a lot for the older systems but nothing for the 2014+ system that does not have the party mode. Anyone have one or a link to one?

It looks like the amp is four channel. The front doors and dash are in parallel. The old party mode models put the rear doors and lift gate in series. What about the 2014+, are the rears now in parallel like the fronts are?

Also very curious , I know for sure that it did change on 14 and up. my 13 with party mode would cut off the rear door speakers. my 15 operates completely different. the 15 does sound better than 13 but still needs help.

I found one in a thread by ANTman. Assuming the 2015 is the same as the 2014, (I have a 2014 Entune w/nav), then there is no external amplifier. It is built-in to the head unit and is 4 channel like you mentioned. The HU outputs an amplified signal which runs to the speakers in series. There are 4 pairs of wires for speaker outputs, the first two go to the dash speaker then the front door speaker, and the other two go to the the rear doors and tailgate. I figured this out when I unclipped the dash speaker and the front door speaker no longer worked. My 2014 does not have the Party Mode button, and when I replaced the speakers in the rear doors, I just assumed the ones in the tailgate would no longer get a signal. To my surprise they still worked, so I just ended up buying another pair of speakers to replace them, and turned up the gain more for the rear channels.

In regards to searching for his thread, I don't think it was specific to 2014's+ with entune, but for all 5th gens with non-JBL systems.

The fronts are in parallel, not series. I see this common mixup a lot in this forum. Every wire diagram I see clearly shows them in parallel. Do you have one that shows the fronts in series?

The rear wiring has to be different due to the lack of party mode button/relay. The question is how? With that said all 5th gen Entune are not equal. The rear WAS series with the party mode but is it still? My gut says no but I am looking for someone who knows.

I am by no means a wiring expert, but this is what I found from trial and error during my install. When I replaced the speakers, my initial plan was to have a 4 channel amp to power the 4 door speakers, even though that meant losing the dash/tailgate speakers. I took the easy way out (for now) and ran speaker wires from my amp to the speaker connections behind the HU to reuse the existing wiring. Upon doing so, I noticed the dash speakers were still working... I popped off the cover and removed the clip to the wiring harness, removing the speaker from the circuit. After doing so, the front door speaker no longer worked. I reconnected the clip and cut the leads from the magnet to the speaker cone, and voila, the door speaker started working again. That is what leads me to believe they are in a series configuration, but I could be wrong.

I realized it's not a diagram but [MENTION=35416]marlinsfan[/MENTION] sent me the below info in a PM and it worked for me:

The wires are not labeled at all, at least not that I could see. Antman has a wiring diagram somewhere here. The rear wires are as follows behind the HU:

Red Right Rear +
White Right Rear -
Black Left Rear +
Yellow Left Rear -

Purple Front Left +
Pink Front Left -
Green Front Right (I think positive)
Blue Front Right (I think negative)

For the green and blue wires, I can't remember exactly which one is positive and which one is negative. Look for Antman's diagram. Also, be very careful. There are 2 plugs coming out of the HU that have green and blue wires. Use the smaller plug. The large plugs have very thin wires. I don't know what those are for, but they are not speaker wires.

To keep the the HU powering the dash and tailgate speakers, you'll need to cut the wires at the doors and not behind the HU. The HU wires groups the frong dash and door speakers into one set of wires, and the rear door and tailgate in anotehr set of wires. If you cut there, you sever the direct connection to the dash and tail. You'll have to find the wires at the doors instead of behind the HU.

In my case, I use the LOC that has female RCA plugs on one end and speaker wire on the other. From the LOC (which I left behind the HU) I ran 10 foot RCA cables under the center console to the amp under the seat. That's why I had to remove the center console. Also, you will need to connect the amp remote turn on wire to something so that the amp turns on. I chose to connect it to the cigarette lighter that's inside the armrest in the center console. I tapped the positive wire.

As for the speaker wires, I ran new wires to the front component speakers, but I used the existing wires for the rear door and tailgate speakers.

I replaced my front door speakers today and did some testing. On my 2015 TEP with Nav and no JBL the stock speakers are 4 ohm in the dash and in the door and are in parallel for a net 2 ohm load.

I put the Polk DB351 and some Infinity 9632cf into the doors. I gutted the stock speaker and used it as the mounting base. I soldered the Infinity to the stock plug thats molded into the factory speakers. The net result on my Fluke DMM was 2.5ohm. Sounds much better! 6.5" Infinity Reference in route from Amazon to do the rears next week.

BTW, the wire colors are very different from ever diagram I have found on these forums. If anyone knows how to get a 2015 diagram, please let me know.

No, you are not looking at it wrong. The fronts are in Parallel. The reason they stop working when you pull the tweeters out is the jumper connection is made on the speaker, not the harness. So when the tweeter is disconnected the circuit is broken. if you took a couple of paper clips (I don't recommend doing this) and jumped the inner wire to the matching outer wire the mid drivers in the door would work.

Rather than start a new thread figured id revive a existing one.

If you had a amp and sub and wanted to piggy back off the rear speaker wires (like the kicker hideaway can) the color wires you would be looking for in the passenger door would be... Red and white?

I need to tap into 2 speakers wires (perf. rear to save on wiring).

The other question is piggy backing off a "remote" wire. People say to use the cigarette outlet but curious if anyone had any other ideas...

Id rather not take apart my head unit option.
