2015 tire size

I want to get some larger and more aggressive tires for my 2015 4Runner, but I don't necessarily want to lift it. What's the biggest size tires I can put on it without lifting it and without it rubbing too much when I take it off road?

It's an index of all FAQs, and "biggest tire size without modification" is most definitely a frequently asked question. The second link in the index is an essay on changing tire sizes. The third link contains a table of sizes showing what will and what won't fit.

Short answer:
Stock size is 265-70R-17 for SR5, Trail, and TRD models. You can easily go to 275-70R-17 or 255-75R-17 in an AT or MT tread; some models will fit directly, others will require minor interior plastic mods (fender liner, mud flap).

If you go to 285-70R-17 it will require the plastic mods. Anything bigger requires more serious mods (lift, UCA's, etc.).
