2016 4RNR Rumors, Set Me Straight

I see a thread below, sorry for the repeat...


I hear all kind of rumors, even the dealers I have asked can't get it straight. Is the '16 4RNR going to be the same as the '15? Same power train and body on frame?

Sorry if asked before, but figured I could get an answer here.

Some are saying yes the 2016 model will be the exact same as the 2015 and the redesign is coming for the 2017 model year....or Toyota might push that back to 2018...hope someone knows more about that.

Also when I talk to the dealerships here they are saying the 2016 will come with minor changes.....special edition package....more options...things like that!

June I guess we will know more on the changes to the 2016!

I want to know asap so I can purchase a 4runner!

Bought my '13 in December. It works so well I'll probably still be driving it in 2033 if I live long enough.......

the next gen should be coming out as a 17 model with it going on sale in late fall of 2016.

according to history they run 7 years per gen typically except 1st and 2nd gen (just be glad your not a Tacoma, they run 10 yrs per gen).

production year (model year) :

1984 – 1989
1989 – 1995 (1990)
1995 – 2002 (1996)
2002 – 2009 (2003)
2009 – present (2010)

2016 – 2023 (2017) <---- this is estimated based on previous cycles
