2016 Fog Lights

I ordered the Morimoto XB LED Fog Lights from TRS on Black Friday along with my HID kit. Just went to install the fogs and found out the hard way that they will not fit on 2016s. Now, TRS does not advertise them as working on 2016 (website says 2010-2015). But I assumed like most other items, they would be the exact same as a 2015. I was wrong and I'll be contacting TRS tomorrow to see about returning them as well as to let them know they don't work. Thought I'd make a post here letting others know that there is at least one difference between 2015 and 2016 T4Rs and not everything for a 2015 will fit a 2016. Anyone else run in to anything similar?

Since the front end of the 4Runner didn't change between 2014 and 2016 I'm really curious as to why you believe that they will not fit. Details?

Because they don't. There's a thread on here showing them installed on a 2014. The fog lights on my 2016 do not look the same as those on the 2014 at all. The 2014 are fully enclosed and mine are not enclosed at all. Also the 2014 have 4 mounting spots where as my 2016 only have two. Also the mounting screws on mine are located about 1/8" closer together than the earlier models.

Can you swap lamp brackets?

I'll have to check once I get back to the truck. But I'm pretty sure the stock unit only had two mounting holes, not four like that picture. When I get home I'll tear it apart and see. It'll be just a little bit and I'll get back to ya.

There are only 2 screws when mounting it. The other 2 holes that look like they should screw in actually just slide into a slot in the bumper.

Gotta love it when stuff like this happens.....34 hours later and still no reply about how these lights would not fit......

You might want to start thinking about consulting a professional instead of doing these projects yourself, you gotta know your boundaries.... had to say it'

Does anybody know how I can get these LED fog lights ordered from the factory. There is no information on Toyotas website no option codes listed
