You think the land cruiser is slow compared to the 4Runner? Believe the lc 0-60 6.5 seconds and runner is 8.5 seconds
That's no Land Cruiser...

Not really off roading. . Bad roads dirt roads yes rock crawling now plus wife has a 2007 v8 4Runner.
More looking for a truck that can tow has room and will last. Tired of crap out there. Toyota has always been great. 70k on the 4Runner and 68k on a scion and no issues at all.
Considering your previous posts, as well as the above revelation, the 2016 LC 5.7 V8/8 spd. w/8100 lb towing vs. 4R V6 w/5000 lb towing = LC FTW. If you haven't already, you might like to check out IH8MUD forum. When we had our 80 and 100 series we found it a great place for info..
BTW, per C&D, 4R 0-60 is 7.5 not 8.5 as you believe. So the 4R may feel slow, but press the pedal and we find no problem passing or hitting 85 on the local entrance ramp.
Since we're throwing out numbers, C&D says the 2016 Jeep GC V6 with 8 speed has a 0-60 of 7.5 as well. Although, it is hard to make such a run when the Jeep is on a lift at the dealer.:heh:
I dislike people who compares the power of a v8 to a v6 and judge a vehicles power in a test drive. Never heard of a break-in period? So went to Toyota today with every intention of buying a 4Runner but after the drive was disappointed.
So let's start with I normally drive a Eco diesel 1500. Not fast and my wife has a v8 4th gen runner.
I will say the new runner is very nice ride and steering is very smooth but I tried to merge and the thing is gutless. Down shifted and rpms went sky high with a big revving noise but really no movement.
Is that normal. Compared to the v8 was terrible even though the hp is almost the same.
Drove the lc too and was very impressed.
Thoughts on power?
Sprint Booster Google it My Limited gets with it no problem.
