2016 T4R front springs are not the same

on my inspection , tire rotation I noticed that the pass side front coil spring has 1 more coil than the driver side .. given that , the space between the coils on the pass side are closer .

So on other vehicles I have owned NOT Toyota this is new to me .

is this correct ? if so why did they use a different coil spring on each side ?

Are you certain they're not the same?
 
I realized this when I installed my Bilsteins. The spring compressor was difficult to mount due to the smaller spacing on the passenger side.

My OEM springs were just as you described...... this is correct.

Jeep Wrangler (JKs) Have this too but nothing is done about. Many call it the JK lean. I just try to feed it a V8 daily and it seems to help (sarcasm)

your guess I do agree as the fuel tank is on the driver side so the driver side has fatter coils and less spring..

what I also did not mention is the pass side does sit lower IE the cv joint is not straight as the driver side. 8K miles on it used tape measure to confirm .. noticed this cv issue when I adjusted the toe @30 miles.

now I know why all the T4R lifting posts ...LOL...I may get the bilstein adjustable strut shock.. all my other vehicles have Bilstein shocks ..

In my 2013 SR5 the driver side (the space between the coils on the driver side are closer) than the passenger side. Now we need to know which one is correct since the mechanic installed 5100 shocks on the Runner its pulling to the right, he did two times alignment and still pulling.

Probably mixed the coils up.
