2016 trd pro

So I attempted to order a 2015 in mid-July but received a phone call from my dealer and the Toyota rep that I was allocated a 2016. They also informed me that Black and Inferno were discontinued and replaced with khaki and magnetic gray.

This was about 2-3 days after 1Engineer posted his update so I can confirm that he was right on the money. Since I saw his post prior to the phone call, I already knew which color I was selecting in lieu of Altitude Black.

So everyone is just going to believe 1engineer?

I think he needs to substantiate his claims of what he says, because Toyota keeps a tight lip on stuff.

So is it going to be quicksand or sandstorm? I read on a Tundra forum that it would be beige (sandstorm). Color codes listed there: 040, 1G3, 4V6. An unconfirmed source obviously; but more info. Thanks.

Sandstorm in front, quicksand in back. Let's hope for quicksand! :) But I think that Tacoma they were showing off was sandstorm yeah?

It's Tan. No matter how you dress it up or what you call it it will always be tan. Beige, Khaki, Quicksand, Sandstorm or Cream is still just a shade of Tan. I don't know about you guys but back in the day my box of eight Crayons was plenty. Those rich kids with the box of 64 spent all their time picking out a color and never finished the important job of actually coloring Bugs Bunny.

Yeah but you would agree those are two different colors, right? ;) One I like, one I don't; as much anyway. I get your point though. I'm not buying either one thankfully. Although, the Mag gray is where it's at. Even though I'm not a buyer, I'm interested to see what they do. That goes for all the trim levels though. Thanks for the early scoop too 1E.

Also, I'm sure some of you noticed the 3rd color option: Khaki-Mom-Shorts. Toyota expects this to be a limited run color though.

There will not be a Runner TRDPro in 2016, will be released again in 2017 with redesign. From the horses mouth.

The GM of a houston dealership was the source of the info.

He doesn't know what he is talking about. Just look up the page a few posts. There is a link to a dealer already advertising the 2016 Pro with the new colors. Guys are already placing orders too.

You should tell the GM he is either terribly misinformed about his product or he is full of s***.

Tan exterior with black softex and red stitching? What a color combo :barf:

They should have used the new Sepia-like color on the Tacoma with tan exterior paint, IMO.
