no its just my last name. I know a couple people over that work with you. Honestly I am not sure where Parsons, WV is haha

Many of the ones on cars.com are listed at MSRP because when you call the dealership "they just sold that Pro but they can order you one", and then welcome to the vortex. The TEP KDSS can be very difficult to find for that matter, too. From experience.

A quality repaint can be done for well less than that, but to each their own, man. Just saying that there are options that may not require waiting and a premium price.

Its possible they may go unibody given that the only other competition for it that is still BoF is the Wrangler.

The reasoning I was given on the redesign being pushed to 2020 was that since there was no expectation of a 2018/6th Gen 4Runner, they have to run with the current platform/design for now because it takes about 2 years to come up with the new platform/design.

Just curious since I dont know how that side of the system works, but how can you see MY18 when the MY17 was only released a few months ago? Its my best understanding that MY16 production/sales ran long into 2017 due to the MY16 production delays in late 2015. Could that be resulting in a shorter run of MY17 vehicles to get the model cycle back on track with the rest of the line up?

He also told me Toyota will NOT be doing a TRD Pro 4Runner or Tundra for 2018. Reason being for the 4Runner is that there was not going to be an '18 4Runner at all due to CAFE standards. The introduction of more fuel efficient models to the line-up (likely those grafted back over from Scion as well as new models such as the C-HR) allowed Toyota to continue producing the 4Runner and it is now guaranteed, in its current form, through 2020, when if there is still a 4Runner, it will get a major refresh.

I definitely prefer for them to keep the current (and best IMHO) gen the way it is. Just hope they offer more/different colors aside from the current non-TRDP lineup.

2017 has been available for a bit more than a few months. You also have to remember that there is a 3 month lead time on when orders go in versus them hitting the ground. My 2015 FR-S was ordered in April of 2014 and delivered in August of 2014, for example, so I knew about the color change from whiteout to halo in March of 2014.

Since we are pushing June, the ordering system usually starts populating the upcoming model year about this time of year. I can't yet place an order for a T4R TRD-P but it is populated. We get very truncated windows for ordering Pros anyway. My father in law's 2017 TRD Pro Tacoma was ordered in September and didn't arrive until March. People were taking delivery of 2017 Tacoma Pros before my FIL was even allowed to order in our system. Our window for the 2017 4Runner Pro opened in September as well but the information was available far earlier on our ordering system.

Just got confirmation with a friend that is the GM of sales at my local Toyota dealership that the 3 colors for the 2018 TRDP are Calvary blue, Midnight black & Super white

Personally I think Calvary blue is a good color choice. Looks solid on the FJ
