2019 Pro, Is this a good price?

Keep in mind the complaints regarding the black box and associated issues. Also iirc lifting the vehicle causes this to be effected as well. Search and these things will come up.
Are the few differences worth the extra $? Also I am assuming you could get low to zero apr on the 19 as well so more money saved if you finance.

Black lug nutz? Shoooof...forget saving $4k, lemme hit dat 2020 cuh!
 
Try to negotiate a bit lower and get the 19. White is the best color anyway. Plus you won't have to deal with the TSS being an issue if you ever want to do mods.

Yes, believe it or not a more modernized vehicle is worth it at this price point.

Did something change? We have a 15 with the moonroof and I am 6'2 and have no issues at all.

The ACTUAL reasons for buying a pro are the same on 19 as 20.

Have to disagree. I had a 19 orp I could have easily made identical to a pro for less$$$. The pro is like Northface jacket or Starbucks. Paying for the name, not a superior product. My reason for the 20 pro is 2fold. I wanted the label and I got it. Next is the 8" screen. There are zero aftermarket solutions that are acceptable to me for a larger screen. The Sony and Alpine that stick out look stupid imo. A normal double din looks stupid imo having a big empty surround with zero knobs. Only one that looks cool is the T9 that is a cheap Chinese knockoff with problems.
The pro is just a trim level. Daytonaviolet? Has the best of all world's, stripped his limited and made it onto a pro. If they offered limited features in a pro, I would be driving one now

Hahahaha, well on that note, I do also prefer steering column mounted shifters for automatic transmissions. Guess I'm an old fogey.
 
No question you could take a OR or even an SR5 and mod it into a more capable vehicle for less money. Maybe some people buy the pro for the label, or because they like the color. Nothing wrong with those reasons. But some people (myself included) got the pro because we don't want to do any mods (at least not right away). The reasons are not having to worry about warranty issues, and not being out of pocket for mods right away. On the luxury features, I think this is really where you see a divide between people based on the reasons they want a pro. Some people want all the luxury and the off road capability in one package. But I'm not sure these two things are completely compatible with each other. I like the plastic seats in the pro because they seem indestructible. Mine are constantly getting hit with mud, dog hair, and other gunk. I don't think perforated leather would fare as well.

1. Capability - it comes stock with an advanced suspension, knobby tires, aftermarket-ish exhaust, unique rack (that I happen to like) and aluminum bash plate. Really, it’s a lot of stuff guys modify their non pro trucks with anyway. Why not just buy it and have the warranty.

2. Resale - 4runners are like cockroaches...except TRD Pros. Those are actually pretty rare.

3. Machismo - There are a lot of 4runners out there, and when one pulls up next to me at a stoplight, I enjoy being the one in the top dog. I saw a dude in an SR5 just yesterday point out my truck to his girlfriend, and I can only imagine it went something like, “dang, baby, look at that TRD Pro! That dude must be hung like a mule. We shoulda bought one of those.”

For the most part, we have always driven something unique. Whether it's a package or color or just the vehicle, we like to be different. There were ZERO NB 4 runners in our town for over 2 yrs. It was just a rare color here. I think there are close to 10 and increasing every day now it seems. Ours will never seen anything remotely considered 4 wheeling....yes she is a parking lot queen. :sorry:

I offered $44k for it but have heard nothing back in 2 days. I figure they are playing the "game". So, either I have gone too high and they are going to take it or they think I will meet me in the middle. I think I will play the game and tell em since I didnt hear back from you, Ive been looking and found another one I like. :biggrin1:

I won't say this will work but you could attempt emailing other Internet sales contacts of other dealers with the same specs of the 19 you're looking at right now. I've seen dealers poach vehicles from each other and sell them for less than the previous dealer was asking. I guess everyone's profit margin is different and some dealers sell enough volume where they can go lower on price. And if it doesn't work out then no worries it only cost you a little bit of time and some back and forth via email.

55k for a used, 3 year old 4runner?

At that price you could buy a used TRDOR, get better suspension, a full Cement paint job, and still have thousands left over for sliders, skids, tires, etc.

Didn’t someone say they saw a cement pro on the Bay Area craigslist a few weeks back that was being offered for $42k or something? I wonder if this guy bought it and is now trying to flip it.
