It looks like an off-roader with good clearances and big BFG KO2 tires. Probably has Raptor suspension.

Another website I saw said that was a ranger test mule.
They use it for testing motors and transmissions.

Before anyone goes nuts about the looks (even by me saying this, it'll inevitably be ignored), that's just a modified Ranger body on a test mule. The vehicle will not look anything like that minus the wheelbase and [hopefully] stance.

I'll be taking a good hard look at them when they come out just because I love competition and Ford doesn't shy away from innovative shit.

Word is that it will have a removable top and doors and should be a pretty even competitor to the Wrangler Rubicon in the four door model. I hope they are right, I am a huge Ford fanboy and for the first time since 1999 I don't have a Ford in the garage and I would like to change that with either the addition of the new Bronco or the High Boy should it actually come to market.

All I know is that my brother is considering dumping his 2018 Raptor due to constant issues. POS truck. I used to be big fan of Ford, but after seeing what my brother has gone through, I cannot recommend them at all.

Turned down bail out. Their trucks are great looking on paper, including AUTO 4wd mode. Apple CarPlay.

I am interested in the Bronco. It dont think it will be anything like the rapture. The rapture has a wide stance and that makes it a better desert runner than off road trail runner. Sure, there will be some software gadgets that will likely carry over, but I hope it is well made and has what a 4wheel drive trail runner needs to be independent on the trail.
I was interested in the new JL, but they turned out to be so problematic that I decided to hold off on seriously considering one. They have so much unnecessary fuel saving gadgetry and other build quality issues that I would fear being stranded on a trail somewhere.

I was just thinking "that looks like a Ranger extended cab with an itty bitty little bed/box on it - plus a bed cap/shell".

I decided before I was even old enough to drive that I would never own a Ford.
Spent too much time on the side of the road in them growing up. Learned my lesson young.

This is the official teaser image released from Ford a few months back. That image of the shortened Ranger might be to inconspicuously test the short frame and wheelbase, weight, and drivetrain that the Bronco will have since it will be based on the Ranger. Now the real question is, why did Chevy make the Blazer a crossover?

I just hope to god it doesn't have a 2.3L Ecoboost because that engine is straight up trash.
