2020 Trd Pro Build

Picked up my new Blk/Blk 4Runner from Southern California a few days ago and I love this thing! This is my first sub 500bhp vehicle purchase in a while so the only thing I dont like about the 4Runner is lack of power obviously haha. I plan on adding a procharger to help make the driving experience a bit more entertaining!

The day after I got home with it I officially began the journey to making it mine and I will log the progress in this thread. So far I have done all the free mods and removed the roof rack, installed block off plates, removed the spare tire and tools to save some weight, removed the front license plate mount and debadged the toyota emblems from the front grill. Just those few little things really transformed the look and I’m loving how clean it is. Anyways this is where it’s at currently with a lot more to come soon!

I drive 300+ miles a day rt for work, you would not believe the number of people who get a flat and sit in their car and wait for either AAA or the DOT roadside guys. Not sure if they are lazy, stupid, or both.
Just another thing all people should know but don’t seem to care.

Spare tire and tools? Who needs that when you can shave weight to make a 2020 4Runner go 25sec 1/4m down to 24.5sec 1/4m.

Damn that’s a hefty commute. I have AAA premium towing so I don’t wait long, however Ive only ever gotten a car towed with a hurt engine, tranny or axle.

I might be wrong, but I don't think you can add a SC to a 2020 4runner. I believe the electrical system changes did something to prevent that from happening. I own a 2020 TRDP and I would love to know if I am wrong.

Oh damn I’ll call procharger and find out. I was planning on ordering my kit next week but didn’t think there were any differences from 19-20. I’ll report back

Here’s a few pics of how it currently sits after I removed the rack, grill emblem and plate.

So after an almost 1k mile road trip I am really impressed with this truck even more! It was super comfortable the entire way and the radar cruise control is ****ing awesome! I don’t ever use cruise for any reason, on any vehicle because it alway so annoying to speed up, slow down, brake, turn it off, turn it on etc. Toyota nailed the radar cruise because on the freeway I went hours without even touching the gas or brake which was nice af! Only issue with is going uphill it will drop to a lower gear and hold the gear longer than it needs to. Other than that you literally only have to steer and lane assist keeps you alrert if you start drifting while txting or nodding off lol

I use cruise all the time and I wish my 2018 had this. What lift and rack are you going with?
