2020 TRD Pro Updates - Army Green & Push Button Start

Hmmm.... :bluejump: I think its totally a match!

Most of the photos companies are using are either renders or shot in a studio using artificial light. They’re going to shoot it with a true white color balance. Sunlight at noon is more a blue color rather than white (6500k “ish”). Sunrise is also referred to as “Blue Hour” the sunlight is very blue then. So if you don’t have control over the white balance in your camera, it’s definitely going to appear more blue. In the evening it’s referred to as “Golden Hour”. The light becomes very warm, and has more of a orange/yellow hue to it. Every color will look different in different light, and with different cameras. White, black, and grey won’t change much, because they’re neutral colors. We’ll just have to wait and see this thing in person. It will definitely change colors through out today. It’s kinda like a chameleon.

I'm texting back and forth with some dealers after clicking the "Instant Cash Offer" button on KBB to sell my 2012 F150. I told this dealer that what I was looking for (with regard to how the local 2019's are configured / termed) is aTRD Off Road Premium, Magnetic Gray, with the "Off Road Package". From what I can tell this is a port (Gulf States Toyota) package that adds the black TRD wheels, blacked out badges, the TRD shifter, the NFab steps, etc. It's been a fairly common package I see on the stickers of 4Runners here in the Austin area. I asked him if he had any info about the "Venture" or "Overland" that we've seen some stuff about online. Not sure how accurate it is or how savvy this guy is, but here's what he had to say:

"so from what we can see as of right now. our new Venture package will be the vehicle to have the blackout package on it. Looks like they took that option away from teh off-road trim. Also looks like the Overland is a package that you can get on the Venture Trim but it doesn't tell us what that package includes nor does it give us a price for it. So the new 2020 4Runner Venture package with the same style suspension as the Off Road starts around $47,638 from what we can see as of now!"

I’ve been eyeing the 4Runner for quite some time and ended up putting a deposit down for an Army Green TRD Pro back in July. Luckily found a straight forward dealer that doesn’t do markups over MSRP.

Received my VIN, details/options sheet, and dates last week. Late August build, delivery to US port late Sept, and delivery in the beginning to mid Oct.

I would share any additional information I had, but everything I’ve received is the same as the others from the previous posts - received the same window sticker like details, available options, and MSRP is listed at $0.00.

Can’t wait till Oct!

Received my VIN, details/options sheet, and dates last week. Late August build, delivery to US port late Sept, and delivery in the beginning to mid Oct.

I would share any additional information I had, but everything I’ve received is the same as the others from the previous posts - received the same window sticker like details, available options, and MSRP is listed at $0.00.

Can’t wait till Oct!

We are in same situation and time line! My sheet makes no mention of the TRD exhaust either. Is it standard or an option? I’ve heard the former. The only option besides 50 State Emissions and TRD Pro Package my sheet shows is Predator Tube Step for $649.00 because we told the dealer we wanted them when we placed the deposit back in April.

Haha, I feel that we're all wondering the same thing. I thought it was standard with all of the information that was released with the TDRP, but now I'm unsure after seeing it as a port-side option.

The optional equipment shows the same for me as well with 50 State Emissions and TRD Pro Package. Maybe the exhaust is included in the TRD Pro Package line item?

My gut feeling is that it's standard but I suppose we'll have to wait for the official release. My dealer mentioned that the official details should be released any day now.

Nope, mine only has 50 State Emissions and TRD Pro Package. I'm not too worried though since the official announcement hasn't been made yet and I have some time for my TRDP to get to port. I'm sure we'll all get it sorted out here soon..

Mine also does NOT show the TRD Pro Exhaust. When I chatted with my dealer he said that it was a port side option that you had to add-on, but pricing is still TBD. He mentioned that I could remove/add port side options up until it arrives at port.

The price increase is likely Toyota hedging its bets against tariffs for cars/trucks being imported into USA. As you know the 4runner is made in Japan.

Looks like the Sequoia is getting rear black badges standard. I know it is significantly more but maybe the 4Runner will as well? ray: Makes no sense why those damn things are shiny when all the other badges are blacked out from the factory.

I didn't notice when I went to their site to check on the 4Runner the other day but you can now build the 2020 Tundras.

They have a whole lot full of 19's and they tried to get you to change your mind, nothing more. Nobody gets their new model year after that year starts. That type of BS gets marked in the reason-to-go-somewhere-else box.

They may be saying that to draw customers towards a 2019 instead of waiting for 2020.

I know way off topic but the Sequoia TRD PRO thing has not seemed quite right to me since it was announced. Looks like turning a whale into an off roader. :noidea:

youre totally right, i just find it interesting that the information is as far off as it is at times. When is your expected date? Do you have any idea when any 4R model will hit? not just pro

I put a deposit on a Army Green TRDP in July and got my VIN/dates early Aug. Build date - late August, delivery to US port - late Sept, expected delivery beginning to mid Oct.

I would imagine all models will hit dealer lots around the same time.
