Exact measurements of the sensor box are 4 1/2" x 9".
 
How is everyone getting the safe installed in the center console? Is that done at port? By the dealer? Don’t see it as an option on Toyota.com. TIA.

It doesn't fit without modification.

The TSS sensor box protrudes about a quarter of an inch from the lower grille, which prevents you from putting the garnish piece on.

There's probably a new part number, which, like the rest of the 2020 parts, isn't available yet.

This is exactly what I feared. I think we were all assuming an easy fit because the radar box was integrated into the lower part of the grille. Turns out is wasn’t irrelevant.

Does anyone know of anyone who has had this mod carried out by an actual dealer? I’m wondering if even they might be unable to do it.

Sounds like it’s gonna require a 2020 Pro/heritage grille piece to turn a non-
Pro into a non-pro with a heritage grille. The pre-2020s that might be lying around in dealerships won’t cut it.
 
Has anybody played with the Toyota app yet? For unlocking and remote start for the runner. Wondering if it works well.

Posted this a few weeks back when I picked up my 2020.... Yes, the app works fine for remote starting, locking/unlocking doors. It will tell you which doors are open, even the hood. If they're locked/unlocked. And an approximate how much gas you have left.

I believe for the remote start and locking features through the app, there's a 1 year Toyota Connect trial that's included with purchase. After that, I'm assuming those features are disabled and you'd have to pay $80 p/year if you want to keep it.

I mean, you can cut the notch out and sand it to a nice finish yourself in probably five minutes with a dremel and a bit of automotive sandpaper. It's on the bottom so even if you didn't take your time, you'd likely never even see it.
 
Do you guys think an aftermarket bumper like the C4 Fab will still work with the radar box right below the grill? Or the AJT TSS relocation bracket can even be used for this?

Let the bumper manufactures prove it will or won’t work. In a normal market that’d be their job to do. If you can’t wait take the plunge.

We believe the full height bull bar and no bull bar options will work fine with the sensor, but we have not verified yet. We will not be getting a 2020 at our local dealer until end of November.

C4 Fabrication posted a few pages back they are getting a 2020 and looking into it.

True enough. I'm just curious as to whether or not we're in an awkward in-between phase during which dealers, themselves, cannot swap out a non-pro grille with a pro grille.

I hope to be shopping in November and was going to have my dealer swap out ORP grille and valances for Pro versions. Was hoping that that would not be too heavy of a lift. But maybe it is.

I reached out to C4 and was bummed to learn that the Lo Pro Bumper with either the low or mid bull bar will interfere with the TSS-P system. I hope they are able to create a design that works in the near future.

Alternatively, they offer a Lo Pro Bumper without a bull bar which I am not yet crazy about. Anyone have thoughts? The attached video shows installation and a final product.
