It’s funny people believe Toyota would slap the limited front end on other models randomly during the life of this vehicle.

Having been a master tech at a Toyota dealer at one time, and having owned them for 30 years, I can say I've seen Toyota do some questionable things.

The new TRD Sport has several cosmetic touches which formerly were only on the Limited. There are official Toyota videos of the new TRD Sport driving around, with the Limited grill and wheels. I could see this Limited grill being placed on the TRD ORP, because it would differentiate it from the standard TRD OR.

I already have a TRD ORP with <2k miles. So I'm likely not in the market either way.

I got the bad news from my dealer today that they were skipped over for allocations on the 17th, so now I have to wait a couple of weeks to see if my order for a '22 TRDP gets accepted.

It's strange indeed how Toyota won't let a dealer directly order a vehicle for a customer as a lottery has to occur for the order to be accepted. Bizarre.

Would be nice if dealers could go extinct already and customers could order straight from the manufacturer.

I'm in the same boat and it's infuriating. I told my salesman tonight that if they get allocated a Pro in MGM before my ORP I'll take it. They charge MSRP so I'm fine with it.

I’m just happy they dumped that blacked-out “nightshade” model or whatever it was called. Maybe the world is coming back to its senses and not viewing a simulated rattle can primer paint job as “premium”.

The lime green is good but the front of the truck is still blacked out. It’s not painted the same color as the body which I prefer. Idiots can’t get anything right over there it seems.

Piano black exterior is the stupidest thing ever put on cars. You look at it wrong and it’s scratched. I absolutely hate it. I also hate it in interiors, even more than the chintzy fake metal plastic in my T4R.

The manufacturer would do better selling directly to the customer and focus on service centers that could also deliver your vehicle. I will own this statement, but is it a coincidence that the majority of salespersons are also the type to be part of a MLM scheme? There are always exceptions, but typically they are not transparent and the more transparent they say they are usually means the opposite.

That would looks super funky with chrome. The car would look confused. Luxury or rugged? lol.

It's an $850 Premium Plus Package on the OR and ORP.

The build details PDF shows the TRD Sport has it as an add-on package. Anything below that trim can't get it and anything SR5 Premium and above has it as standard.

The brochure must be off as it somewhat clearly only only shows BSM being offered on the Sport with the Technology Package offered elsewhere being specific to camera stuff.
