2023 Solar Octane TRD Pro

Drove by the local dealer to see what’s happening and ran across this. It was available as of one hour ago. I talked to a salesman and they though it was reserved but a deposit was not made. I am not associated in any way with this dealer. Sounded like it was at retail. Hope this helps somebody. Located in Rock Hill Sc, just south of Charlotte.

Too bad all of those marked up options are on there. I'd be willing to pay a normal msrp without the $829 running boards, etc.

Mine is on order and I'm SO excited! I love for my cars to stand out and will be saying goodbye to an Ultrasonic Blue Mica Lexus NX200t F Sport. I saw a Tundra in Solar Octane in the wild and it is lights out stunning!!

That same dealer wanted to gouge me with a “market adjustment” last year on a Lime pro they had. F them.

Absolutely no way I'll pay a market adjustment. We bought my wife a 22 camry several months ago and got it at msrp plus doc plus TTT. I got them to take off the additional nonsense on the addendum. I'm on the list there and told them I didn't want anything but the 4runner. No Toyoguard, tint, running boards, paint protection...nothing. That's why I'll probably not get a call when one is allocared, lol.

Ditto. I had to wait 6 months but I got my Lime Rush for msrp and no forced bs like “paint protection package” or garbage port options like “cup holder protector.”

I like it. It may be a classic down the road.

My wife is interested in trading her Jeep for a 4Runner. Can you order one, or just take whatever the dealership has in the pipeline? What is the wait time on a TRD Pro?

Thanks for the post...got me all excited that I wouldn't have to wait a year for one of these.
I reached out to Scott (Rock Hill) and he worked up a quote with my trade-in.
Now, my trade-in is a basically brand new top of the line 2022 Kia Telluride SX (w/ Prestige & Nightfall packages)...only 3,000 miles.
They low-balled the trade...at $46.5k...when most places are at $52k.
What they don't tell you is, in addition to all the ridiculous add-ons, bringing the price from $55/56k to about $60k...they add a $5,000 "market adjustment" + $495 "window tint", bringing the total to over $65k.
Absolutely ridiculous!!

I wish he had just told me up front that they add $5000...it would've saved us both a lot of time!

I feel for you. Not bashing on you, but you have to ask these questions up front to save time. 1) What are the dealer add-on's (addendum nonsense) 2) Is there a market adjustment? This is how dealers have made obscene amounts of profit over the past couple of years.

I called on a lime rush about 8 months ago. It was listed online at MSRP and they had it on the lot when I called. They quoted me a $10k market adjustment. I told them I would pay MSRP and no more. They called me back in 2 minutes and said they would drop the mark up to $5k, I once again said no sale.

I get it...I texted him to see if it was still available.
He said he was in a meeting and would get back to me.
He texted back and said he had to drive back to the dealership and would give me a call. He got back and called me to confirm it was there.
Asked me a few questions and said he'd text me with the offer sheet.

If it was just the BS add-ons and my trade value was good, I might've pulled the trigger.
But, it was much worse than I thought! :mad2:

beauty of a color.

I talked to my dealer here on the west coast in canada, they said they can't even source me a TRD PRO and he said it's pointless for them to put me on a waitlist cause the list is already too long and they aren't expected many to come in.

I'm eagerly looking to trade in my 2022 TRD Off Road if i can find a PRO that i can order in. Seems easier to buy a Ferrari here than to source a new PRO.

I'm with 'ya. Every time I see a car posted online that I'm interested in I calculate what the OTD price should be, but it's always far over that in reality because of all the add-ons. It's much worse over the past 2 years. I was looking at a used one recently at a franchise dealership and they were tacking on a $,1089 doc fee (highest I've seen) and a $1,095 used car reconditioning fee!!!!!

Yikes. I don't think I've ever seen a doc fee over ~$500 and a Used Car Reconditioning fee? Get bent. I'd walk away and never go to that dealer again just for that.

I love how "Full Tank of Gas" has become 6 Gallons of gas.

I picked up my dad's new Tacoma a month ago and noticed that the tank was only 3/8 of the way full. It was an employee lease, so I just figured they were being stingy because we get the vehicles for a very good price and the dealers don't make as much on them.

I did stop by the local dealer to see the Solar Octane Pro they had on the lot. My wife really liked the color. I'm pretty excited for it to get here. This will be my 3rd 5th gen. 2010 SR5, 2016 Trail, and 2023 Pro. Beginning, middle, and end of the generation. haha

Gents, new to the 4Runner world, switching from an Xterra. I have a 23 Pro on the way, due to arrive in a few weeks. Sticker price was $55k, only a few factory add ons, which I am working to have removed. My rep tells me the OTD price is $60k BEFORE taxes/fees. So clearly not the OTD price. I have had to be an absolute dick to get any straightforward answers or replies from these sharks. I will do what I can to stay under $60k. Absolutely highway robbery, but, the market has clearly revealed that we will wait and pay for these vehicles.

I look forward to posting the truck when I get it a s starting down the mod road. Thanks in advance for all the insight and help.
