20x12 -44 offset ?

Will a 20x12 wheel with a -44 offset work?
on a 35x12.50x20 tire.

if it won't work, what do i need to do for it to work?

i would have the 3 in toytec boss lift w/ the 1in body lift as well

It should work, that's a weird wheel size though.

This is based off measurements I took on my 285/70R17 set-up (I don't have fender/suspension/wheel well measurements for stock to plug in.)

Though you'll most likely have to trim heavily as under compression it will rub probably, I'm soon to be running 35's as well and just did a 1.5" body lift in preparation.

You might want to check your tire and wheel size again. The tires I looked at on tirerack.com in 35x12.5x20 had a rim width range of 8.5" to 11". Are you planning on stretching the tires to make them fit that 12" wheel?

Would it not work with a 4 in?
I plan on doing the body mount chop and all the necessary trimming.

Not with just a 3" lift but it seems like it may be possible with a lot of work...

I have 35" tires on a 17x7.5" rim with 1.5" spacer and even with 5.5" of lift I had to hammer the piss out of my fender pinch weld, take out the fender liners, trim the shit out of the fenders and bumper covers, and I still just barely touch the frame. Here is another tire wheel size site I use all the time that gives you a nice overlap of old and new. You will be sticking out over 5 inches from stock! Everytime you turn your tires I bet you hit the rear fender. 33" tire would help but still.

as for 35s in general there are plenty of us with that. but 35s on a 12" wide wheel is a whole other animal. In general a 35x12.50 or 315/70r17 takes a 3" suspension and at a minimum a 1" body lift, along with a metric ass load of cutting and hammering things. i ended up taking about 3-4 inches of fender out of the rear of my fronts down by the door and about the same of the front cover to get them to fit at full compression. if i had a better back spaced and offset wheel and ditched my 1.25" spacer it wouldnt be so bad but currently my scrub radius is atrocious. but its so worth it for the clearance and ability to just roll up ledges. plus it looks so much better than 33s imho.

Did you get any pics on the clearancing you did on the rear of the front fender/wheel well? Aside from the BMC? 3-4" is a lot!

i have a couple. it sounds like a lot but i did it to maintain all my uptravel in the front. also if done right its kinda hard to tell.

this was my passenger side before i went back and lessened the angle of the cut by starting it higher up in the fender.

i need to go back and clean some other stuff up and get more picks but it is hard to tell its cut that much honestly

Yeah, I've seen all three of the guys on CO. Not exactly plenty, but maybe there are more. I think 18x12s will look better, more sidewall. :yo:

Just a couple relief cuts at where it turns to go under the body and up where it starts to radius at the top. Then go at it with a 2 or 3 pound sledge. Once youre done go over the cuts you made with either seam sealer ot a good RTV and paint
