22RE Resurrection - What's missing?

86 22RE needs to run again, been parked 7 years. Some parts removed by the previous owner and in a box, and may be some missing. So, the trivia contest begins......

On the back of the EFI air intake there is a 2 bolt flange, what goes here?

And, on the firewall next to the Brake Booster, there are several pipes the are not connected. The hoses, and what they would be connected to is not clear.

I have the Toyota factory repair manual (all 750 pages) - but I need some clues as to where to look.

On the first pic, there is a part of the EGR system that goes there. I would pull ALL of the egr junk out and install cover plates.

The other pics are coolant lines. Check out the FSM in the cooling section for the coolant diagrams.

I checked the FSM, and it does not have any diagrams or pictures other than replacement of the water pump, thermostat.
Do I just need a hose between the 2 pipes on the left, and the 2 on the right? That seems possible on the left, and the hose on the right looks like it may have been cut short.
Does any one have a picture of what it should look like?
I'll try visiting the dealership to see if they have a parts diagram, I don't know how far back they go.

As for the EGR component, I'm sympathetic to that solution. I will have to get this California Smog certified to get it registered and back on the road. So, that is the final hurdle to getting this project done.

Making progress, today I drained the gas tank, replaced the fuel filter (fun finding that one, a true braille replacement, all by feel, never saw it), changed the oil and filter, replaced the alternator, cap, rotor, plugs and plug wires. Previously I replaced a bent front A-arm, which is why it ended up being parked. Next, radiator flush, reinstall cleaned up throttle body and hoses. Then I'll see if the fuel pump works and if I can get enough gas through the injectors to get it to start.......

The pipe on the left side coming out of the firewall is for the heater core and to the right of that should be a valve thingy I believe they should all be hooked up but you could leave the heater core open..

I've got an '86 22re, I'll get you pics of the heater hoses on the firewall in the morning. Anything else you need to look at?

A picture of the fitting on the back of the EFI enclosure, so I can see how the EGR valve connects would be helpful. The EGR is bolted on the back end of the block.

that should be a crossover pipe. id just plug it.
