2500 arb awning on stock roof rack

I’ve seen a few people go with the shorter on on the stock rack but I want the longest one.

I believe the arb has a aluminum backbone already so it should not flex

Anyone try it before?

Are you sure you want to mount a 2500mm? Thats seriously long. The vast majority of us use the 2000mm and it will cover everything aft of the front fenders. The factory roof bars aren't as long as many aftermarket racks, so your mounting points will be closer together which may cause instability with an awning that long.

The 2500 extends past ARB's recommended mount spacing when using the factory roof rack. That said, I've run it on the factory rack and for a temporary setup it seems fine. I wouldn't plan on it as a permanent solution.

I’m sure I want a 2500. Now do I want it on a stock rack. Not sure.

Ultimately your decision, but I would strongly advise against a 2500 on the stock rack. How about factoring in the awning length into your rack criteria to ensure it will safely and securely mount to it?

That looks like a 2000mm. The 2500 sticks past the a pillar.
