255/80/17 wit 3.5 inch lift?

I can't find many 4th gens on here that run the 255/ 80 / 17 tire size. Ive been looking at the cooper s/t maxx. I've got two different questions. First, will they need spacers for an offset on stock wheels? And second, will there be to bad of rub with a 3.5 lift in the front, and 2 in the back.
I would greatly appreciate some responses. I'm very interested in that tall and skinny look. Thanks!

I'm running them on my 3rd gen with 3.5" lift. So far so good. No rubbing with normal driving but would prob rub some wheeling. This prob doesn't help you any being a 3rd gen but....

Ask me how I know, it not going to happen. I have 255/80/17 KM, it has the following.

Front :

1.5" BL, OME 3" #886/N9000, 1/4" top plate, TC Control Arms

Rear:

3.5" all-pro, 1.5" daystar spacer, bilstein #5160 w/ RR, AF Upper & Lower Control Arms.

I had them on my 4th gen. 255/80 KM2s. I had 5100s with 885s up front. Stock UCAs. The rear had 5100s with superflexes. No body lift. I had to lose the mud guards and trim but they fit. I'll put up some more info once I get home.

The 255/80/17 ST Maxxs aren't as tall as the KM2s in the same size. Cooper lists their 255/80/17 at 32.8 inches. BFG lists the KM2 255/80/17 at 33.3.

So what you're saying is that I need more lift? Or what I have is fine. Sorry I didn't understand.

Here's mine... they fit fine. Remember rims were -10 so almost equal to a 1.25 spacer.

how much trimming did you have to do?

[MENTION=100017]TNations7[/MENTION] Trimming for the front of the fender liners wasn't too bad. I probably could have just moved them forward and reused screws to hold them further forward. As stated, I had stock UCAs, had I used aftermarket, I could have added caster and possibly retained the mud guards up front but would have had to trim more on the liners and possibly the bumper.

I run 255 80 17 KM2s on FJ wheels, i have more lift plus a body lift and i dont run at all (maybe a tad on the front body mount under extreme conditions) i really like the size and they kick ass offroad.

I agree. I can remember whose truck it was that I first seen the tall skinnys on but I fell in love. I will probably also go the fj wheel route to get some offset. Badass truck btw...

I have them on FJ wheels, no rub on the front anywhere even off road. I have an aftermarket bumper and UCAs which surely helps. I get some rub on the back at full stuff but it isn't a big deal. Toytec ultimate kit, front adjusted to about 2.75 in lift.

It seems that fj wheels are the way to go. Also on my list of stuff to do was to add an aftermarket bumper. I was thinking either demello or cbi.

I ran the 255/80/R17s BFG Mud Terrains for about 4 years with a simple Daystar lift/leveling kit and "stock" Bilsteins. No wheel spacers. No issues at all, no rubbing etc., other than the fact that the BFG MTs seem to be real difficult to balance. I had the darn things in every year because of vibrations and uneven wear...doing a 5 tire rotation every 3K...still got about 60K out of them.
