I agree, I'm just curious if my mpg will go up any between the swap. I would hope so because its a good bit less aggressive tread, same width, and a pound lighter. But who knows.

I doubt you will see much of a difference. The ST Maxx is going to be heavier than your current tires (more rotating mass) but have a smoother tread pattern (less rolling resistance). In the end I doubt you will see much of a change.

Of course my mpg goes up after I complain. Averaged 18.3 last tank. I think I'd have a hard time getting that with 285's..

just filled up and got 18.6 with my 255/70/18 bfg rugged terrains. best tank i have gotten because of not using the highway much
