Will I die?

I got a 2016 tacoma for me due to the wife stealing my 4runner and keeping the keys in her bag

So I was going to swap the wheels but noticed the tacoma tires are a bit smaller, I thought she could burn the tires off mall crawling

I was wondering if this will be too bad and I will have to get new tires for her?

thanks in advance

I think you may be the first to officially "go smaller". At least you won't need to worry about rubbing, fender lining mods or a BMC. It's your/uour wife's truck. If she doesn't care why not?

You're essentially gearing down. Your wife might have the fastest 5th gen out there!

In all seriousness, I don't see how it could cause any problem other than looking a little goofy.

By decreasing the aspect ratio by 5 will affect the load capacity of the tires. This move will have safety repercussions when the vehicle is fully loaded with cargo and people.

All the 4th gens with 17" rims came with 265/65/17 tires stock. My 03 V8 was rated to tow 7000 lbs. Much higher than a 5th gen.

So I booked the 4runner in for new tires and swapped the rims off the tacoma, they wouldn't clear the front brake calipers for anyone who fancied picking up one of the many sets of 2016 tacoma wheels for sale

Oh well new wheels and tires
