265/70/17 tire on 17x9 wheel

I've searched, but, let's face it. I'm just too damn lazy to read all of the threads that came up. The first page didn't yield any results.

I'm fairly certain it will fit just fine, but I wanted to ask the experts. Will my stock tires fit on a 9" rim without any issues. And, will it look okay, or look like ass?

It's probably easier to go the website for your stock tire and find the tire spec page which will give you all the information you could want about the tire, including their recommended wheel width range.
 
I guess people are too lazy to answer...

But you should be OK with that combo.

LMAO. Can't say I blame them. I was too lazy to read all the posts from my search.

I checked the Bridgestone web site (as suggested). Yep. The tires fit 7-9" rims.

I'm running that set up! A lift and some bigger tires will be going on soon. I have some 17x9 Ultra gauntlets on 265/70/17 Nitto Tera Grapplers. I do light off roading just on camping trails and such. Its worked for me, nothin fancy but i get compliments on my 4r. Hope that helps :)

Good helpful post! When I pick up our T4R, I wanted to go with something like this setup. It helps to know there are no problems, and see a pick.

I second that. More pics.

I have the same black rig. After seeing yours, I want to black out some stuff.

I'll be running the stock tires for a while, until I need new ones in about 40,000 miles! lol I really like those Gauntlets. It's between those and Fuel Boost.
 
Here are a few more pics. My crappy cell phone does the 4R no justice it looks way better in person. Also she's kinda dirty, i been drivin it in deep sand. I live in california in a desert area, its about 119º today!

The set up is 17x9 Ultra gauntlets with 265/70/17 Nitto Terra Grapplers AT. For now its been workin fine for me. The tires have pretty much zero road noise and they handle pretty good. They are also wearing very well too. Overall i'm happy. Next time i will do a spacer lift and upsize on the tires. perhaps the Nitto Trail Grappler MT. I blacked out alot of the chrome with Plastidip. Its held up better than paint. I need to paint my door handles though.

So, did you take the chrome bumper strips off to coat them, or do it on the truck?

I see you blacked out your roof rails as well. Nice.

Some stuff like the rocker panels i removed and popped out the chrome parts because they'd be too hard to coat on the truck. For the most part taped and masked alot of the stuff and coated it on the truck and it came out great. I got a huge plastic drop cloth at home depot for like $4 and just had the parts to be painted exposed. Easy and so was clean up. I used Plastidip which is basically this rubber coating. a year later its held up to rock chips and pressure washing so i like the stuff. Certain areas need a touch up but it looks good.
