285/70/17 Tires for Off Road Trailer?

Trailer is already painted to match the truck and should be done in a couple of weeks. In the end I decided to match the truck's wheels & tires on the trailer and its spare. Now I just need to figure out how to get it from CO to PA.

I'm keeping the stock tyres I have now on my trailer. I do /have gone some places where people look and wonder how I got the trailer in there to start with. I can up size to my truck tyre but I would still carry two spares. I air down the trailer, just as I do the truck (the 75% method) (unless I run into some weird terrain).
My trailer does go airborne from time to time, it weighs 950 lbs, and the tracking stance is different, but that is the way it goes.
The one thing I would get on any trailer is an articulating hitch. A ball just doesn't cut it in the backcountry, it can't take the twisting that it needs to do.

I'm running nitto trails on the truck and goodyear wranglers on the trailer. Went with the wranglers just because of the pricepoint at that time but they have served well.

Road trip? Give you an excuse to go to the FJ Summit, pick it up along the way and drive it to PA. Problem solved :driving:

I just placed an order for a custom Ruger in Colorado, and we were talking about shipping it to me in AZ. I decided to drive up there for a weekend to pick it up rather than have it shipped for $600.

EDIT: I'll be running 285/70/17 Duratracs on my trailer as well.
