285/75 16 tires fit on stock rims?

Wondering if 33" or 285/75 16 tires will fit on my stock 2000 4runner limited 4wd rims? My son and I are putting a SS lift on it and wondering if I will need to buy new rims, spacers, or nothing but the tires? Best I can tell the stock rims are 16x7" and tires are 265/70 16. Seems like the larger tires would fit, how about back spacing...rubbing.

I have never done this stuff so any help is appreciated.

I run 285/75R16 Michelin LTX M/S2 on stock 5 spoke wheels with no spacers. Haven't had any issues.

Running 305/70r16 stock wheels. People have wrapped 35's on these stock wheels.

After a 3" lift I put 285/75/16 on aftermarket wheels that have 3.5 back spacing and they rub pretty good on the pinch weld area.. But I've heard with stock rims and 33s they can fit pretty well in the wheel gap.. If not just take a angle grinder to the metal there.. Good luck!

I've ran 315s on stock wheels. I have 285s on stock wheels now on one of my 3rd gens.

33s will fit on stock limited star wheels. fitment on the truck will be an issue. it rubbed against my uca in the front with 3 inch lift.
