So, as the title states, I am going to go with this size for my next tire. I thought that I had figured everything out and had decided on the Goodyear Duratracs. However, I have noticed negative opinions on the load range for this tire at this size. I want to go with this tire because of the overall reviews I have seen on them and also the aggressive look of the tire itself. Can anyone give me opinions on the ride quality at this size for this tire and the balancing issues that they seem to have. I know there are a lot of tire threads out there, but what does it hurt to have another one, right? lol

I'm going to be running with the factory rims. What are you using?

Only had mine for a week but I like them. Not much noise and the ride is fine because I also installed my suspension at the same time too. Make sure you got a 5lb sledge to Smash the pinch weld so they clear lol

I have the duratracs in the size you are looking at buying. I love them. My friend has them on his Tacoma and is buying another set soon. I love the ride, traction and The look. They are not loud and I will most likely buy them again when the time comes. I have oem wheels and the tire is very close to my after market upper control arms. I am not running wheel spacers so with out the after market uca's I would most likely rub.

I also had mine on for about a week. Looks great and I like it a lot. However, I've noticed it feels under powered and looking to either supercharge it or re-gearing. Best to look into those options also before upgrading to bigger tires imo.

I love my 265/75/16 Duratracs in load range C. I came from 285/75/16 BFG A/T's in load range E. It's no secret that E's are much stiffer than D or C's, so keep this in mind when deciding on a tire. Looking forward to pics!

I bought pro comp crawler wheels and they look cool just are pretty rough on the steering wheel[emoji16][emoji23] if you're using factory wheels then I don't think there should be rubbing issues on the pinch weld...

Keep in mind that if you plan on wheeling them at all, the Duratrac sidewalls seem to tear or rip much easier than other aggressive tires. If you don't plan on wheeling them then it won't be problem.

I think "wheeling" takes a pretty broad definition on this site. My "offroad" use will be mostly dirt roads that sometimes turn into rugged rocky paths. I wouldn't say I get into anything that would be comparable to things that a lot of people on here get into. :llama::banana:

True. Well it sounds like the Duratracs will suit your needs just fine then. :llama:

I've had some friends that have complained about their lack of traction and that they were a little loud. I have Toyo AT2s and they sound like street tires

I liked my duratracs (had on 06 Tacoma) for about the first year and half and then they got quite noisy (load C). I think the tread pattern is a little wider than other ATs closer to a mud. They got a little squirrelly at times and finally one split perfectly down the sidewall following the little triangle tread. Great looking, can be studded, siped but I went back to bfgs for now since they always did well on other trucks I had.

They are per OP title, with 1.25" spacers. I'll take a stab at it.
That tire to flair gap 285's limited flair took 4" lift F&R to achieve on 96Red. Will require less with that trim.
Believe I see more frame rail than normal bumper gaps look 1" BL, pair with 2-3" suspension lift is used.
Rubbing varies, combo you put together wait n see adjust as needed.
