I just purchased 2" levelling spacers to install this weekend. Do you guys think 285 70 17 are a bit too big and will cause rubbing? I've done the search on here, lots of info on lifts but no info on combination of 2" front level and 285. Is anyone using 285 70 17 tires with just a 2" levelling lift? Any rubbing?

Mine is up about 1.75" with 285/70/17's and it rubs. I was able to move it forward a bit so that it doesn't rub at full lock driving forward anymore, but in reverse it still rubs. Maybe with that extra 1/4" of lift you are getting will help reduce the rub.

Be prepared to loose power and 2 mpg with those tires.

So I am wondering if you went with the 285's and how it worked out? I have an '08 with a 2" level and am looking to put on 285/75/R16. I'm assuming I may need to do some trimming but curious.

I just got 285/70/17's put on my '18 last week. I did a level kit to the front only. I took off the mudflaps before I did the kit because they did rub there. Since adding the kit, I've heard them once in awhile, backing up, turned hard going slow. I plan on pushing the front wheelwell liner forward and trimming a little off the bumper.
All in all, very little to accomodate them, and I think they look AWESOME!

Welcome to the forum. Just a couple heads up, first this post is in the 5th gen section, you want to be looking in the 4th gen. Second this thread died in 2011. I'm certain there must be more current info.
