2nd Gen Clutch Master(?) Cylinder

G;day guys,
I have a 1991 SR5 Limited V6 3VZE - VZN130, and my clutch has given in.
The master cylinder (i'm presuming) is located INSIDE the cab and connects directly to the clutch pedal.
I'm wondering if anyone (I'm looking at my fellow 'Skips') can tell me where i can get a decently priced one. So far my only option is to buy a $40 kit to repair/re-seal it.

Luckily this is hardly a rare part, Mcbain, and can be found at most parts stores, plus plenty of online retailers (rockauto, autoanything, etc.). It is located in the engine compartment, not the cabin, but IS connected directly to the clutch linkage through the firewall. It's a simple replacement, and the prices are reasonable, so I wouldn't even consider rebuilding one. Aisin is one of the pricier ones, but they make many of the original Toyota parts, so they're higher on the "trusted" list. Best of luck!

Thanks for the reply Bucknut, but i have to correct you in saying, it (the master cylinder itself) actually is located in the cab. It doesnt have a resevoir ontop of it like your conventional master cylinder. The res is just on its own in the engine bay I'll take a couple of photos tonight to show you.

Because right hand drive. Try a Hilux unit. The part number for a RHD 4Runner master gave back a ton of other vehicles that shared this. If you can give me your vin, we can get more details.

Well, that's a new one on me, as the '95 model is clearly all inside the engine bay (I've replaced one myself). I guess the earlier 2nd Gen's were different (or as noted by 024 above, the "wrong-hand" drive is different--LOL). Best of luck to ya'.
