2nd Gen Fuel Line

In searching the web for fuel lines for my 2nd gen I see quite a few results. I'm curious if the lines I see just run up to the exit of the fuel filter. It appears in the pictures the line is continuous and doesnt have a smaller section to go into the fuel filter intake from the tank. I was hoping someone could clarify this...I need to replace the line from the fuel filter onward. Thanks gents :cowboy:

Here's what I'm talking about...

I cant tell, but the light grey section in the middle may represent where the filter fits, but it doesn't seem long enough if that is the case...

Just a note. Toyota no longer makes those lines and they are practically no-existant anymore.

Several years ago I had a similar issue. My fuel line on my 2nd gen 4runner were rusted through. I went to my local dealer, he pulled up a part chart on the computer. We found the part and he pulled up the Toyota dealer inventory system. Only 2 anywhere near me in the southwest and that meant, by his history, they were lost in some dealers parts department to never be found.

He instead simply gave me a similar length fuel line from a tacoma and I bent it to fit.

I suggest that method. :) Toyota fuel line within the same period will all be the same design, so size and fitment. You can "gently" bend it to fit. Or go aftermarket.

I called the dealership near me the other day and got a replacement ordered no problem. About $45 and it will he shipped on Tuesday. Hope it's the right one I guess
