2nd row seat removal quick release?

Went camping this weekend and forgot to bring tools to remove the 2nd row bottom seats. Wasn't able to spread out. Has anyone here figured out a way to make a quick release to remove them? Would be super convenient out camping not having to pull out the wrench and sockets.

Replace the bolt with a retaining pin of the same size and clip-ring. Use fender washers to keep things from wearing/binding.

I would advise against modifying the way the seats are bolted down unless you know for a fact that what you're designing is stronger than the original bolts. Probably the last thing you want breaking free in a car accident is the entire 2nd row with passengers strapped to them.

Ok, I was thinking there might be a safe solution. This is why I consult with the forums to set me straight, or give me another point of view. Looks like I'm going to scratch the idea.

How long does it take to remove the back seats? Both left and right seats.

I think there is a total of 4 10mm bolts holding the seats in place.

Once the seats are removed where do you temporally place the seats, up front?

3/8" cordless impact wrench and a 14mm socket and they're out in less than 30 seconds. Small enough to just keep in the car.

Don't use different/replacement hardware for all the reasons above.

That said... IIRC, the seat belt anchors are on the seatbacks not the bottoms so that hardware is pretty much just keeping those cushions in place. A hardware failure there isn't going to cause the mayhem a belt anchor failure would.

You can. 2 bolts each side.
