Well the screen of the camera was butted up against the headrest so i couldnt see what i was recording. I just mounted it and let it run, next time I go i think ill mount it inside the frame some where and maybe top center of the windshield. That way if a tree grabs it ill see it, at least on the windshield.

You need a couple of the GoPro cams and mount one under the front somewhere and one under the back so you can see from the tires point of view!

I always liked the viewpoint from just above the windshield, too--that's my plan, to mount the GoPro just in front of the sunroof, so the roof and hood frame the bottom, and you get a nice panorama of the trail and surroundings while the picture tilts all over the place from the obstacles. I also like the ones low on the side, where you can see the wheel moving over stuff, but still see the trail ahead. Both ideas, though, can be disastrous, for obvious reasons. For inside, I used to mount my old video camera on a tripod, put it in the passenger seat, and strap it down tight--got some great views, like a front seat passenger (only with tunnel vision and no ability to turn--LOL).
