2UZ-FE VVTi short block needed

Help! Threw a rod on my 2008 4runner (4.7L V8 4 X 4) and it tore two holes in the block and one in the upper oil pan. I have a shop that pulled the motor and will fi it, but am looking for a short block as the block is non-repairable. To add to the problem, I live in Hawaii....
Also, I'm discovering the thin rods on the 2UZ-FE are a problem not found on the 1st and 3rd gen engines! Comments?

I have a 03 2UZ just sitting in my garage, but id image thats not much use to you , seriously at that point id just look for a new engine. Check car-part and the other salvage websites. A good low mileage 4.7 should be around a grand.
